Python developer

We are looking for a python developer to join our small but ambitious team. If you are a software engineer who can write server-side code for web-based applications, this job is for you.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement user visible features.
• Come up with improvements and apply them.
• Debug performance issues.
• Test your own code and write automated tests.

Minimum qualifications

• Experience in Python.
• Experience in web site development.
• Experience with an ORM.

Optional qualifications

• Experience in HTML and JavaScript development.
• Experience in database programming (PostgreSQL).
• Experienced with Django web framework.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

System engineer / DevOps

We are looking for an experienced system engineer to join our small but ambitious team. If you are a linux guru with Python or Perl skills, this job is for you.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of Pidgin Host's network infrastructure;
• Come up with improvements and apply them;
• Debug performance issues for network and servers;
• Design and implement new features.

Minimum qualifications

• Knowledge of Linux distributions internals;
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP stack;
• Configuration and debugging for the following applications: nginx, apache, uwsgi, php-fpm, postgresql, mysql, glusterfs, redis, rabbitmq;
• Knowledge of orchestration software like SaltStack or Ansible;
• Knowledge of a decent text editor (vim)?;
• Understanding of technologies like: KVM and LXC.
• Able to handle on call tasks (rarely needed).

Optional qualifications

• Networking skills: BGP, OSPF, iptables;
• OpenBSD;
• Knowledge of switch management like cisco cli.
