You will be involved in designing, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure while working on complex challenges in cloud environments and automation.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of Pidgin Host's network infrastructure, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Come up with improvements and apply them to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Debug performance issues for networks, servers, and cloud-based applications.
- Design and implement new features for automation and infrastructure scaling.
Minimum Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions, system administration, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of the TCP/IP stack and networking principles.
- Configuration and debugging experience with nginx, Apache, uwsgi, php-fpm, PostgreSQL, MySQL, GlusterFS, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience with orchestration tools such as SaltStack or Ansible for automation.
- Proficiency with a text editor like Vim for efficient coding and scripting.
- Understanding of technologies like KVM, LXC, and virtualization concepts.
- Ability to handle on-call tasks and troubleshoot urgent system issues.
Optional Qualifications:
- Networking skills, including BGP, OSPF, and iptables for security and traffic routing.
- Experience with OpenBSD for secure and high-performance server environments.
- Knowledge of switch management, particularly Cisco CLI and enterprise networking equipment.
